Digital Empowerment
The Vistabeam Empowerment Centers empower the community it serves through digital equity. Since 2004, Vistabeam's primary mission has been to bridge the digital divide in underserved and unserved parts of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, and Wyoming through its extraordinary internet connection. The Empowerment Center is another avenue to help fulfill this mission through the services listed below.

Our Locations
In February 2023, Vistabeam opened its first digital empowerment center in Torrington Wyoming. The establishment of the center has helped to serve our community in ways that were formerly impossible, and we were awarded the 2023 Cornerstone Award at the Broadband Communities Summit for this pioneering creation. We have since opened up another location in Yuma, Colorado. All of our empowerment centers are open to everyone, regardless of whether they are customers of Vistabeam. Services are offered free-of-charge.

Digital Empowerment Services
Workstations
Vistabeam’s Empowerment Center workstations are equipped with broadband-enabled computers and other necessary equipment to ensure users have the most seamless experience.
Digital Navigator
Our Empowerment Center is staffed with a trained full-time digital navigator to help with digital equity requests, including signing up for the Affordable Connectivity Program, Lifeline Program, PCs for people, and more.
Digital Skills Training
Essential digital skills are a step towards learning lots of other new things. They can improve your confidence to use technology for work, learning, and daily life activities. That’s why Vistabeam has partnered with Microsoft to deliver digital skills programs at our empowerment center.
Video Conference Space
Our video conferencing meeting space is set up like a community meeting room and can be utilized for various purposes, including telehealth appointments, virtual volunteer legal services, and more.
Award-Wining Centers
Each year, a committee of industry leaders, analysts, and writers selected by Broadband Communities votes to bestow a half dozen or so Cornerstone Awards to private developments, municipalities, communities, companies, and individuals with outstanding accomplishments in the area of delivering telecommunications for the benefit of the end user. Vistabeam was awarded with a Cornerstone Award at the 2023 Broadband Communities Summit for its establishment of the Empowerment Center in Torrington, Wyoming.
