Twisted Fork Ranch located in Ft. Laramie, Wyoming had no access to any type of internet except for satellite. The limited satellite service did not provide adequate performance for their needs. They also have no reliable cell phone service. The rancher had to drive several miles to the top of a hill to send or receive an e-mail.

Vistabeam installed a solar powered Cowboy Tower© and a dedicated point-to-point business connection which provides reliable 20MB internet to every building on his property. He is now able to oversee a national business that he runs from the ranch.

Jackson County Colorado had suffered from sub-standard broadband access for years. The only non-satellite Internet available in the country was a very small DSL connection available in the town of Walden with speeds limited to 10Mb. Lack of middle-mile options kept other providers from coming into the area to compete.

The County Commissioners approached Vistabeam for consulting broadband service in Jackson County. After completing a document outlining their options, Vistabeam extended a microwave middle-mile network from Wyoming into Jackson County, while by-passing the local telecommunications provider, and installed last-mile access points in two locations. Vistabeam also successfully applied for a grant from the Colorado Broadband Fund to build out 25Mb capacity and several more tower locations throughout the county. When the project is completed, Jackson County will have broadband available across nearly the entire county.

21st Century Equipment has its headquarters in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and owns John Deere farm implement dealerships in Colorado, Nebraska and Wyoming. When 21st Century expanded their network into Colorado, Vistabeam worked with them to get fiber and high capacity wireless connectivity to their new dealership locations. Fiber connections were installed in Sterling, Akron, Yuma, Wray, Burlington, Flagler and Cheyenne Wells.

Microwave backhauls were installed to Fort Morgan and Holyoke. Later on, the dealerships in Imperial, Ogollala, Sidney, Bridgeport, Alliance, Gordon and Scottsbluff in Nebraska were added to the Vistabeam network along with the dealership in Torrington, Wyoming. High capacity, low latency connectivity between the dealerships and corporate headquarters enabled better use of computing resources and a shared phone system that reduced telecommunications costs while improving communications.
