It is the responsibility of all residential Vistabeam customers to ensure that their activity does not impose an unusually large burden on the Vistabeam network or otherwise negatively affect the integrity of the system.
Is there a way for me to check my current usage?
To manage your bandwidth consumption, we have developed a page where you can see how much bandwidth you have consumed for the month, how much you have left on your cap and what your current overage charges are.
Please visit the Vistabeam Bandwidth Page to see how much bandwidth you have consumed for the month, how much you have left on your cap and what your current overage charges are. This page only works from the location where you get service from Vistabeam.

Why does Vistabeam track data usage?
All broadband networks have a limit on the amount of capacity that they can carry, just like an electrical grid or a water system. If all users were to max out their connections at the same time, you would see the equivalent of Internet “brownouts” – where speeds would drop and network performance would degrade considerably. There is a very clear trend toward the consumption of more data by broadband customers, especially with the growing popularity of online video and streaming media services that consume a lot of bandwidth. This increase in consumption of data means that our typical customer now uses 5 to 10 times as much data now compared to four years ago.
Vistabeam is constantly upgrading our network capacity to meet the needs of our customers. We have been able to increase our capacity and offer higher speeds without raising prices to our customers even though the costs to obtain and deliver more bandwidth have continued to increase.
How much Bandwidth is my connection allowed to use with my speed package?
4 meg Ultra
8 meg Ultra
12 meg Ultra
What happens when I exceed my suggested data usage?
If a customer exceeds their suggested data usage, they will be sent a notification and recommendation to upgrade to a more appropriate data plan.
